In SAS Web Report Studio, when attempting to display a report, an error message might occur that contains the SAS code that was submitted and one or all of the following errors:

PROC SUMMARY data=AXX missing

ERROR: Utility file open failed.

No observations in data set

ERROR 48-59: The format XXXX_FMT was not found or could not be loaded.

ERROR: Variable DIR_XX not found.

In addition, the SAS Web Report Studio log will likely contain one or both of these errors:

ERROR: The following columns were not found in the contributing tables: DIR_10,DIR_9.

com.sas.report.render.optimizer.management.ServerConnectionException: Unable to locate the specified Optimizer library: wrstemp on Workspace Server: SASMain - Logical Workspace Server.

This problem is most likely to occur under these conditions:

• The query optimizer is turned off or not working.
• The report includes a crosstabulation table.
• Some of the data items in the crosstabulation table are hidden.

  Note: The error might occur when you select to hide a data item.

• The report contains more than one section.
